Enjoying the sun

We love sitting in the sun.

It's warm.We don't have a care in the world.

We can just drift off to sleep. Our eye slowly close. Zzzzz.

Poor old Monty is old now.

He likes to sit on the sun and relax.

I'm just relaxing, I'm just ....zzzzzz

I'll just go and ... I'll just ... zzzzzzzzzzzz

Special Guest. Jigsaw.

We are a friendly lot at the Fitzroy Dog Blog.
We like to invite guests in.
At my request, I have a few pictures of Jigsaw from the Philippines.

He's a gorgeous boy. .

He's special to Jamorie. She loves him very much.

He looks smart in his coat.

Thanks for the pictures, Jam.
We'd like to see Jigsaw again.

Port Melbourne Beach. Exploring.

We love The Beach. We go down to Port Melbourne Beach when it's quiet.
We love digging holes, great big holes ('cos we are not allowed to do it in the back yard).
Joy. Happiness. Lot's of space to run around in.

We roll around in the sand.

We explore.

We roll in stinky stuff.

We get covered in sand and seaweed.
Then we jump into Dad's car. Hooray. Shake, shake, shake.

Get the mouse

Monty is a hero. He catches mice around the house. Cockroaches too.
Anything that moves is "The Mouse".
We yell "Monty, get The Mouse" every time we see a cockroach and he's straight on to it.

We're on our usual walk in the Edinburgh Gardens in Fitzroy

"Smells like possums, Dad"

"Yup, possums for sure"

"Monty, get The Mouse"

"Me too, Dad. Me too"
Good girl, Daisy.
But the possums are way too smart.

So, off we go to the next tree.

Slow

Poor old Monty is growing old.
He's a bit slow now, deliberately, I think.

Monty! Where are you?!

Hurry up, you old plonker!

Groan. Come on!

Don't look at me like that.

"But I don't want to go home, Dad."
Yeah, I know. You never want to leave the park. But it's dinner time.

Bad Hair Day

Daisy has just had a wash. She's all clean and fluffy.

We are at the park and it's a windy day. Look at that hair.

Ohhh, I've just washed my hair, and I can't do a thing with it.

Hmm, it could be time for a trim. Maybe just a little off the fringe.

Waiting for Dad

Fish and chips for dinner tonight.
We are feeling lazy and don't want to cook.

"Dad, go buy fish and chips please. We'll wait for you, by the front door."

"Me too. I'm waiting right by the door too."

Waiting, waiting.
"Where's Dad ? It's been at least five minutes."

"No Mum, he's still not back."

Roll

We love cruising around The Park.
We walk and scratch and sniff and roll.

Mmmm - that smells good. Possum pooh.

I'm going in - don't try to stop me.

Ooh yeah, that feels good.

Ah, the small joys of life.

Why does Dad always wash me when we get home ?

Our Turf

I try to walk Daisy and Monty to Edinburgh Gardens in Fitzroy every day.
Today was a pleasant afternoon, so off we went and here we are.

This is Our Turf, so don't mess with us.

Whoa - Intruders.

Oy, you're on Our Turf dude. Push off.

Alright, we've shown our strength here Dad, let's move on.

Possum Tree

We're in the Edinburgh Gardens in Fitzroy for our daily walk.

This is the Possum Tree.

We always stop and have a sniff here.

When Daisy was younger and slimmer, she would fit right inside that hole.

Now she is too fat, and only her head will fit.

Monty can be a bit obsessive. He will sit there for hours if I let him.

Usually I have to clip their leads on and drag them away.
It's all just part of the fun.

Dust

My little girl loves rolling in the dirt.
Here is Daisy doing what she loves best.

It is hot and dry in Melbourne, Australia, at the moment.

There are lots of dust patches in The Park.

"Rolling in the dust is fun."

"Rolling in the dust cools me down."

"I never understand why my Dad doesn't love me after I roll in the dirt."

"Why does Dad always insist on a W.A.S.H after we have fun in The Park ?!"

Sigh... The DogBlogger
