Monty goes on a big walk in his new jammies.

Hello again.
I bought Monty a new coat, well new pajamas really.

We went out for a big walk on a cold Winter's day.
First things first.

Next up is a roll.

Feel better now ?

"Yes. No. Maybe a bit more..."

"Ah, that's better."

Monty, you look so handsome.
"Thanks Dad. I like my new coat, Dad."

"What about me ?"
Daisy, you look gorgeous too.

Right let's go for a stroll.
"OK Dad. I'm ready now."

Jolly good.
"Dad, are you getting all this down for my viewers ? They'll want to see my new coat !"

Yes Monty. I have lots of pics.

Edinburgh Gardens. Our Park.

This our turf... Edinburgh Gardens.
It's a pretty cool park. We have lots of stuff to play with.

We always come in near The Footy Oval...
Look at the camera Monty. Nice shot.
"Is my hair OK dad ?"

Then we walk up this hill near the Tennis Courts...

This is some unknown memorial...

Here's the Rotunda...

There's a couple of these old, drunken, leaning lampposts...
Nice pose Monty.
"Thanks Dad. Be sure to snap my good side."

There are plenty of seats for when it's sunny...

Lots of shady tree for the summer...

Mmmm, lots of grass to roll on...
Thanks for your contribution, Daisy.

The Possum Tree...

City views...

It's a nice park. We hope to see you there.

Monty at the Skate Ramp.

School holidays has just started. We're off on our usual walk in the Edinburgh Gardens in Fitzroy.
Our walk today took us past the Skate Ramp.
There's Daisy, heading in for a look.

All the kiddies are there. Banging away on the boards.

They were playing this weird retro 70's music. Well strange.

Monty checks out the scene.

Monty is not impressed.
"Can we go Dad, I don't like their retro music..."

No problems. Let's go look for picnickers with leftovers Monty...

Waiting for His Lordship

Sigh, hurry up Monty.
I seem to spend all my time waiting for His Lordship.
There he is, off on the distance.

Monty ! Hurry up.

Monty, get a move on !

Monty ! Come on, old man.

Oh hello, good of you to join us.

"Sheesh, what's the hurry."

Monty and Daisy and Speedy

This is Speedy... that black flash there.

Here he is actually sitting still.
"Gidday Monty."
"Hello Speedy."

Handsome hound.

Daisy is much too fat to run as fast as Speedy, and she walks off in a huff...

... but she comes racing back to play anyway.

Monty and Daisy are good at ganging up, two against one.

That's too much for Speedy, and off he goes.

"Good teamwork Monty !"
"Aye, Daisy."

We are not amused.

Have a look at this. We walk past this quite often in The Edinburgh Gardens in Fitzroy.
A plinth with no statue.

There once was a statue of Queen Victoria there, but somebody knocked it off !

The scallywags !

Anyway, there is also a busted pipe near here, and Monty and Daisy are always much more interested in the puddle.

That's all for now.

Mutt guarding the BBQ

We were walking around in The Edinburgh Gardens in Fitzroy and it was school holidays.
There were families and barbecues everywhere.

This fellow was guarding his turf.

"Gidday Monty. Gidday Daisy."

"There's no scraps left. I've snuffled them all up already."

"Well, we will just check anyway..."

"Hmm, nothing. Not a crumb. Oh well..."

Monty and Daisy and The Road Ahead.

Were will life take us ?

Where does the path lead.

We ask these questions of ourselves a lot.

Monty contemplates the road ahead. His philosophy ?

"Walk down that road with a good friend."

Pile of dirt.

It doesn't take much to amuse us.
A pile of dirt will do nicely.

Daisy has a bit of a think about it all.

We check out the scene.

Monty races up for a look.

If all else fails, roll in it.

Hurray for piles of dirt.
