Helping Dad work. Part one.

Here we go again. Another day of exciting adventures with Monty and Daisy.

We're over working on the new house.
I have to clean up some glass bricks.
Hmm, I'll need a piece of old carpet to put them on. This will do.

Monty ! Get off my piece of carpet !
"What ? Isn't this my bed. Oh yes, this is definitely my bed."

"Yes, very comfy. Thanks Dad."

Sigh. Well, I'll just go cut another piece then, I guess.
To be continued... of course.

Monty's in my seat

What's wrong, Daisy-Mae ?
''Monty's in my seat. I should be sitting next to you. I always sit next to you. Tell him to move. I need to be next to you, Dad.''
Poor Daisy.

Guess, Daisy.
''Painting again !''
Very clever. Let's go.
''Just as long as we're with you, Dad.''

Time to go home

We've been at the new house all day and the kiddies are bored and ready to go home.
Monty will be desperate for a hot dinner in his bowl.

"Hurry up, Dad !"
Yes Daisy. I have to collect all my tools.

*sniff sniff* "Do you have everything ?"

I thinks that's all.
"You'd better hurry up, Dad. Monty is hungry."

Oh, hello Monty. Something wrong ?
"I'm dying of hunger, Dad."

Yes it looks like it, you fat lump. OK, I'm ready now. Let's go.
"We're ready too, Dad. Hurry up. What's for dinner ?"

Poor Monty is cold. Part three.

We're never one to make a short story long at the DogBlog, so here's a little more of our adventure 'Monty is cold'.
I'm dragging this one out because I like all the pics.

We're all around at the new house, sanding and painting out in the cold.
Monty was shivering so Laura put an old shirt on him.

You still look funny, Monty.

"That's fine Dad, because I'm warm now."

"Anyway, it's time for my nap, so run along."

Lovely Monty, you have a little sleep.

Poor Monty is cold. Part two.

Here's a bit more of the absolutely gripping adventure of 'Monty is cold'.

We're all around at the new house sanding and paiting, and it's freezing.
Laura has put an old shirt on Monty to keep him warm.

Monty, you look like an Egyptian mummy !

Monty ! Face the camera so that I can take a picture.
"Take a picture of me instead, Dad."
Yes Daisy.

Monty ! Food !
Yes, that made you look.

"Dad, I'm sulking now. You're making fun of me."
Awww, poor Monty.

Monty, sit up and I'll find you a snack.
"OK Dad, just for you."

Finally. That's a good pose. Hold it...

Poor Monty is cold. Part one.

Well the excitement never ends. Today's adventure is that poor Monty is cold. Serious.

We're around at the new house and Monty and Daisy are following me everywhere.
I'm working out the back, sanding a door.
Monty and Daisy wander out and sit on the concrete near me, but Monty is shivering.

Poor Monty, let Laura put my old shirt on you to keep you warm.

"Thanks, I think. But I need to shake."

"Um, Mum ? Dad ? I can't stand up... Help."

Hahaha, poor Monty.

Monty is a lazy lump.

Monty ! What are you doing in my bed ?! How did you get up here ?
"Um, Dad, I plead ignorance."

Monty, for shame, and it's 3 o'clock in the afternoon !
"La la la I can't hear you."

Don't give me that. I'll tickle your toes until you get up, lazy sod.

"Dad, nooooooo, don't tickle !"

I tickle your toes ! Now get up !

*sighs* "OK Dad, but make me some toast please ?"

Helping Dad fix doors

We're fixing doors at the new house today.
Monty and Daisy have come along to help because they're always with their Dad.

"Let me know when you need the drill, Dad."
Thanks Daisy
Daisy? Daisy ! Hmm, she's lost interest and wandered off.
Monty? Monty ! Hmm, he's gone to sleep.
Can someone pass me the drill please ?!
"Zzzzzzzz *snort* Yes Dad, I'm still here"
Thank you Monty.

This is what happens when you roll in possum poop. Part two.

Daisy's turn now. Into The Tub for stinky girls.
"Dad ! No ! Anything but this."

"Dadddddddd. I'm not enjoying this !"
Yes, but think of how much I love you when you are clean !

There we go. Two clean doggies, drying by the heater.

"Dad, can we go for a walk to The Park again please ?"

Ha, no way. I'm going to keep you clean for at least one day.

This is what happens when you roll in possum poop. Part one.

I did warn them. Fair is fair.
If they roll in possum poop, they go in The Tub.

Let me lay out the instruments of torture ! Bwahahaha.

Monty first, stinky boy.
Ick, you're very dirty.

"Dad, you're washing all my lovely smell away."
That's right.
Oh look, you're actually a white dog !

"Ha. Very funny Dad. Laugh at this !" *shake shake shake*

Monty ! Hold still !
Poor sad thing. At least he's vaguely clean now.

That's better scrubbed and disinfected !
Now, where's Daisy ?!

Reggae in The Park part three.

It's a lovely day. Winter is almost over. We're having a walk in the Edinburgh Gardens in Fitzroy.
We were walking over towards the skateboard ramp to check out their music.
But, Monty and Daisy have found some possum poop to roll in.

Monty has had a roll. Now it's Daisy's turn

Ick. Stinky girl.

Well, they both get a wash when we go home then.

Reggae in The Park part two

We're out for a stroll in The Edinburgh Gardens in Fitzroy.
The skateboarders have brought a deck along, and are playing reggae.
We were heading over for a look but Monty has found some possum poop to roll in.

"Ohh yeah. Stinky possum poop."

"Ohh yeah, that feels good."

"Hmm, hmm, hmm. What a lovely day to roll in possum poop."

Well, it's funny to watch. Ha ha, all four feet in the air.
Are you enjoying that Monty ?

"Oh yes Dad. There's nothing better."

Reggae in The Park - Edinburgh Gardens in Fitzroy.

We're over near the skateboard ramp in The Edinburgh Gardens in Fitzroy.
Someone has brought along a deck, and is cranking out some New Zealand reggae.

"Listen Dad. Music."

That's pretty funky. Sounds like Katchafire - Collie Herb Man.

"Let's head over there, Dad."

OK, I'm good for that. Let's go.
"Oh, wait. Possum poop. I have to roll in that !"

Oh no. Well, I was gonna wash you when we go home anyway.
