''Yes Dad.''
Let me tease it up. Hahaha. I love doing that.
''Thank you, Dad.''
Oh, you're welcome. I'm sure.''
There, all better now.

No, there's no more food.

''Dad. I'm starving.''

Monty ! You've just had a huge hot dinner, a little cheese, and some of my toast.
You're 10.6 kilos !
You're a fat barrel .... and there's no more food for you tonight !

''*Sigh*, I'll just sit here and fade away to nothing then.''

Vegies. With bacon.

Hello Monty.
''Hello Dad. What are you cooking ?''
Just vegies.
''Gag. Vegies ?! But Dad, I can smell bacon.''
Maybe there's bacon.
''And Dad, I can smell sausages !''
Maybe sausages too.
''So, massively overcooked vegies with sausages and bacon ? Am I right, Dad ?''
Yes Monty. You may be blind and deaf but that nose still works.
''No no, Dad. It's just that you always cook that.''
''Um. Can we have a taste ?''
Of course, Daisy. You always get a taste, you know that.

Very very last of the Christmas Ham

Well, I've hacked off as much as I can from that Christmas ham.
We're had ham sandwiches, it's gone in the soup, and they kiddies have had little bits in their supper.
All that's left is that old bone.

"It's very tasty, Dad."

Daisy gets first chew on it, then I'll give it to Monty for a while.
Monty has to make do with a chuck bone for now.
"That's OK, Dad. This is a fine bone anyway."

That will keep them busy for a while.

Feeling guilty.

I'm feeling very guilty.
Laura and I have had a day off today, and we've been to the beach without the kiddies.
Every dog on a string has made me feel terribly guilty.

We've raced home to make sure Monty hasn't died of starvation, which he indicates could happen at any time soon.... and I've taken the kiddies up to Big Square Park for an evening stroll.

It's a lovely evening for a walk and a sniff.

It's my day off today, so I've taken the kiddies out for breakfast and a walk in the park.
''This is the life, Dad. Bacon, toast, and a walk in the park.''
Too right, Monty.

Si the Dogblogger

You did order bacon, didn't you ?!

''Um, Dad, we're just checking, you understand. You did order extra bacon, didn't you ?!''
Yes Monty. Yes Daisy. You won't die of starvation just yet.
''No no. That's fine. We were just checking.''

No problem Mont. I'll massage your toes on the way.

A little damp, sheltering in The Rotunda. Darling Gardens Clifton Hill,

Quick kiddies, let's shelter from the rain in The Rotunda.

Alright Daisy-Mae ?
"A bit damp Dad, but it's nice to be out."

Well your hair is a mess.

OK Monty ?
"Fine thanks Dad, but I'm a bit hungry."

Hungry ?! How unusual.

I'm hungry too. Let's go for fish and chips.
You're both wet and stinky, so I'll dry you off in the car. Come on.....

We're off to the park for our daily walk, scratch, roll, sniff, groom, etc.
Do you want the steel comb today Monty ?
"Ooh yes please Dad."
Right. Let's comb all your fleas out.
"I don't have fleas, Dad.
No, but you're filthy as usual.
"Not there Dad ! That tickles !"
Haha, yes, but your little legs twitching is about all the exercise you get these days.

Daisy looks lovely. She's been combed already.
