Let me get comfortable.

Mum's good cushions have fallen on the floor.
Let me make myself comfy.

Holidays on the Gold coast.

We've driven in the car to Queensland to visit my father in law. It's been a pleasant drive through Forbes and Tamworth.
Now we're chilling out in the dog park at Tugun.

Haircut on the Gold coast.

We're on holidays on the Gold coast and it's pleasantly warm. It's time to give the kiddies a haircut.

Darcy with his eyes closed on the first pic looks like a plague victim, but at least he's cooler now.
Winnie's fur is so thick I could shave it as short as possible and I still couldn't see her skin.
In the background is my father in law's dog, Jose, aged 18!

Waiting for toast at The Belljar.

Yes, Mr Darcy?
"Toast please, Dad."
Greedy pig, you've already had all my bacon.

Monday, October 10, 2016

Good night. It's time for bed.

Everybody into bed. It's been another big day with our Dad.

Wednesday, October 5, 2016

Smooching with the kiddies.

We're all resting on the couch.
I think I'll just lean over and use these mutts for a pillow.

Nice. Smooch time.

Freezing outside.

It's October in Melbourne and it should be warm, but it's a freezing day.
It doesn't matter, we go out for a walk anyway.

Hurry up Mr Darcy, it's time for a hot coffee.
"Coming Dad. I want hot toast and butter."

Helping Dad make the bed.

Oy, you two, get off the bed. I'm still putting new sheets on.
"But we're helping you, Dad."

Some help. Get your fat asses off my clean bed.

Possum poop.

Sigh, they've done it again, rolled in possum poop.
This of course means we all go straight into the shower when we get home.

Stinky children. Time for a wash!

Nighty night everybody.

It's been a big day helping our Dad.
Now we're all tucked up in bed waiting for a kiss on the nose.
Good night Winnie.
"Nighty night, Dad."

Good night Mr Darcy.
"Good night, Dad."
Phoo, you stink of possums.

In the car with Dad.

Lovely kiddies. They come everywhere with their Dad.

Everybody strap in. We're off to find some dinner.
"Roast chicken for me please Dad."

Mr Darcy ?
"Oh yes please Dad. Roast chicken would be fine."
Well that's that settled I guess.

Brekky at the Belljar.

We've had our toast and coffee at the Belljar.
You two wait there while I pay. The we'll go to the park for a walk.

Happy birthday.

Happy birthday to us.

My mother-in-law sent us a birthday card. I put it on the ground here just to take a picture and Winnie came and sat just there.
She's always so photogenic.

Afternoon snooze.

Hello Mr Darcy. Lovely boy.
"Time for my nap, Dad."

Haircut today.

Melbourne is starting to warm up for summer, so it's haircut day today for Winnie.
It's a long, hard job. Her hair is very thick and prickly but it's worth it in the end. Phew.

Does that feel better, Winnie ?
"Oh yes Dad. Lovely and cool. Is my fringe OK?"
Oh yes, Just gorgeous.

Busy helping dad.

Are you two going to help me around the house?
"Absolutely dad. We'll sit here and supervise!".
Oh, wonderful. Thank you.

Don't get up, will you. I have to vacuum the house.
"Oh no Dad. We'll watch you from here."

Waiting for toast...

We're up at Cavallini for breakfast this morning.

"Are you going to share that toast, Dad?"
Yes of course, Winnie, just wait a bit.

"Still waiting, Dad."
OK, I've got the hint.

Enjoying the sun

Goodbye kiddies, I'm of to work. You two just stay there and enjoy the sun.
"Goodbye Dad. Oh yes, we'll just sit here and enjoy the sun. No problem."

"Off you go Dad. We'll sit here and bark at everybody."

Pulling that tooth out.

Poor Winnie has had this busted tooth ever since we rescued her.
It's been painful to her, so I decided to have it pulled out and have all her teeth checked.

We head back the the North Melbourne Lost Dogs Home, were the lovely staff yank out her poor busted tooth and check all her other teeth.
She's been a lot happier ever since, and much more playful.

Thank you to all the lovely staff at the Frank Samways Lost Dogs Home Vet Clinic.

Sausage in a bun.

This is what I like about our local park. Creative people filling a need.
"Do you want a sausage mate?"
Yes please.
And I'll try to save a little for the kiddies.

The kiddies sniff around to see if anyone has dropped a sausage, but no luck.

Waiting for a snack.

Everybody on the blanket and you can have a snack. Good kiddies.

"Still waiting, Dad. Stop taking pictures, put your phone away and give us our treat."
Well, unless you can reach the snack container, it's picture first, Mr Darcy.

Lovely sunny day in the park.

It's the middle of winter here but we finally have a sunny day, so it's time for a big walk.
What a glorious day.

Hello Winnie. Don't roll in anything today please.

Hello Mr Darcy. Lovely boy.

Thursday, July 7, 2016

Wash day once again.

Poor kiddies.
They were both really stinky and muddy and I couldn't stand it anymore. In the tub they go.

All nice and clean now. Their dad loves them a lot more when they're clean.

Piece of ham for you...

Here we go, kiddies.
A piece of ham for Darcy, a piece for Winnie.

It's like watching tennis as their heads swivel, hoping it's their turn.
