New bed for Mr Darcy
Daisy, get out. That's Mr Darcy's new bed.
"It's lovely and new and fluffy, Dad."
Yes, but it's for Mr Darcy. You have two beds already.
"Yes Dad, and that fat lump sleeps in my beds too, you know."
Yes well, you two can sort it out then. Just don't tear it up too soon, OK ?!
"As if ..."

What do you two want for snacks ?
You two wait there. I'm just going in to buy some coffee.
"Snacks Dad ! We need snacks."
Really ? Snacks ?
"Oh yes, Dad."
Anything in particular ?
"Bones please."
Maybe. Anything else ?
"Sausages ? Would that be too much to ask ?"
Maybe, maybe not. I'll have a look

"It's very nice Dad. I like it."
Yes ? Good.
"Yes Dad. It makes it easier for little legs to climb the stairs."

Wash and injection day today.
Today is the day for Daisy's arthritis jab, so off to the Fitzroy Vet we go.
Needle is done, so it's into the hydro-bath for stinky mutts.
"Is this really necessary, Dad ?"
Oh yes. You stink.
Look at that. Beautiful and clean.
Daisy's fringe is back to its usual glory.
Dad loves you more when you're clean, Mr Darcy.
"Really, oh well then... I guess it was worth it."
Lovely girl.

What do you think of the new pavers, Mr Darcy ?
"They look good Dad, but am I allowed to pee on them ?"
Yes I guess so, that's all there is out here now.

New carpet - and keep out of the way !
We have just about finished our renovation. One last job is to put some carpet on the stairs.
Keep out of the way, you two. Stop walking on Sam's carpet.
"But Dad, you can't do it without us helping."

What can you smell, Daisy ?
"Bacon ! I can smell it on the wind."
"I can smell it too, Dad."
Really, Mr Darcy ? Hmmmm.
"That way Dad. Over there."
Well now, that direction leads to 'Breakfast Thieves', so I guess we had better go check it out !

A trip to Port Melbourne Beach for a bit of exercise and a paddle. Part three.
We're having a lovely stroll at Port Melbourne Beach.
Come on Daisy. Let's go under the Port Melbourne Yacht Club.
"Sure thing, Dad. Me first. I'll check it out."
"All clear, Dad. Come on in."
"But watch your head. It might be a bit low for you."
Yes, shall do.
... and out the other side. Hello Mr Darcy.
"Dad ! Come and chase seagulls with me, Dad !"
Sure thing.
"Dad, I'm having such fun !"
Jolly good.

A trip to Port Melbourne Beach for a bit of exercise and a paddle. Part two.
It's lovely here at Port Melbourne Beach.
Darcy is having a think about going in.
Go on in, Darcy. Don't be a coward.
"It's a bit scary Dad. I'm not sure what all this water is."
It's called The Sea. Look at those two. They're not scared.
"OK, I'll risk it."
Good boy. Brave hound.
"Wow, it's a bit cold."
"OK, that will do. Time to chase seagulls."

A trip to Port Melbourne Beach for a bit of exercise and a paddle. Part one.
It's sunny now, but forecast for rain this afternoon. Quick, let's head to the beach so I don't have to vacuum the house.
Daisy is in first.
How's the water, Daisy ?
"Oooh, a little chilly but not bad."
"La la la. Lovely little paddle."
"Brrr, it's cold now. That will do."
"It's lovely in, Dad. Thanks for bringing us here."
Jolly good Daisy-Mae, no problemo.
"In fact I think I'll go back in. La la la."
""Hmm, I wonder if there's any fishes to chase."
Si the DogBlogger.
