A trip to Port Melbourne Beach for a bit of exercise and a paddle. Part three.
We're having a lovely stroll at Port Melbourne Beach.
Come on Daisy. Let's go under the Port Melbourne Yacht Club.
"Sure thing, Dad. Me first. I'll check it out."
"All clear, Dad. Come on in."
"But watch your head. It might be a bit low for you."
Yes, shall do.
... and out the other side. Hello Mr Darcy.
"Dad ! Come and chase seagulls with me, Dad !"
Sure thing.
"Dad, I'm having such fun !"
Jolly good.

A trip to Port Melbourne Beach for a bit of exercise and a paddle. Part two.
It's lovely here at Port Melbourne Beach.
Darcy is having a think about going in.
Go on in, Darcy. Don't be a coward.
"It's a bit scary Dad. I'm not sure what all this water is."
It's called The Sea. Look at those two. They're not scared.
"OK, I'll risk it."
Good boy. Brave hound.
"Wow, it's a bit cold."
"OK, that will do. Time to chase seagulls."

A trip to Port Melbourne Beach for a bit of exercise and a paddle. Part one.
It's sunny now, but forecast for rain this afternoon. Quick, let's head to the beach so I don't have to vacuum the house.
Daisy is in first.
How's the water, Daisy ?
"Oooh, a little chilly but not bad."
"La la la. Lovely little paddle."
"Brrr, it's cold now. That will do."
"It's lovely in, Dad. Thanks for bringing us here."
Jolly good Daisy-Mae, no problemo.
"In fact I think I'll go back in. La la la."
""Hmm, I wonder if there's any fishes to chase."

Mr Darcy and Dad's first trip to The Beach - Port Melbourne Beach
I found these pics in my wife's phone.
This was our first family outing to The Beach with Mr Darcy.
"Hurry up, Sir Dad. It's very exciting."
Coming, coming. Just hold your horses.
"Wow, look at all that sand and water. Wow."
Alrighty then. We're all organised. Let's go.
Come on Daisy, let's try to keep up with that silly mutt.
OK, who's going in for a paddle ?
"Not me Dad. It looks very scary."
Scary ? Piffle ! Daisy, you show Mr Darcy how it's done.
"Yes of course Dad. Just leave it to the senior dog around here."
"See, Mr Darcy ? Easy peasy. It's very refreshing on the toes and the belly."
Clever girl, Daisy. Senior dog ?
"Yes of course, Dad. I am The Boss Dog now."

Mr Darcy's first trip to Port Melbourne Beach.
It's another glorious Autumn day. Laura and I are both off work.
Beach ! Fish and chips !
Come on kiddies. Everybody on Mum's lap.
"Yay. The Beach."
"I say, this is very exciting."

Here we go, Mr Darcy. Port Melbourne Beach.
"Wow. What's all that ?"

"It's the sea, stupid."
Daisy, be nice.

"The sea, huh ? What do you do with it ?"

"Paddle your toes, is what you do with it. It's lovely and cool on the tummy too. Give him a push, Mum."
One push, coming up, Daisy. *nudge*

"Wow, this is nice. It's cool too. But...... it's all a bit scary for me."

"Silly mutt. You'll get used to it."
Daisy ! Just because you're old and wise.

Down by the sea. The Sphinx. Port Melbourne Beach
We're down by the sea on a lovely afternoon.
Monty ! Come here and we'll make a sandcastle.
Now hold still Monty.
"Ok Dad. Uh, this wasn't what I had in mind when you said we make a sandcastle."
Just relax and look decorative. A little more sand and we're done.
"Yes Dad. I'm comfy now so I might take a nap."
"Hello Monty. You look like The Sphinx."
"Do I really. Cool."
*pee pee*
"Daisy ! Did you just wee on me ?"
"Maybe."

''Dad ! Watch me roll.''
Yes Daisy.

Yes Daisy.
''Then like this to finish it off and get really sandy and stinky.''
Oh how nice.... And then shake it all off in my car ?
''Of course, Dad.''
Just lovely. One dirty stinky sandy dog.
