Stitches out today.
I'm taking Winnie to the vet at the Lost Dogs Home to take her stitches out and clip her nails and have her C3 injection.
Come on you two, in the car.
Good girl.
Stitches out and injection done and time to go home.

Off on holidays
We're all off on holidays. Mr Darcy has his bed in the back of the car.
First stop is Gundagai to see the dog on the tucker box.
We stay at Goulburn for the night, thanks to Airbnb.
We will stop here for the night.
Time for a run in the paddocks.
There's lots or room for Darcy to run around, and lots of rabbits to chase.
Good night Darcy.
"Good night, Dad. It's been a long day."

You'd be lost without me... and coffee
Come on Daisy, we're off on an errand.
"Of course, Dad."
"Ready, Dad. I'm strapped in."
Good girl.
"Where are we off to, Dad ?"
A most important errand... to buy me some coffee.
"Oh, very good. I shall assist you, as always."
See ? Coffee !
"It smells good."
*yawn* "In fact I'm just about ready for a cuppa myself, Dad."
Is that so ?

Come on kiddies, jump in the car.
"Where are we off to Dad ?"
Off to Eltham to visit my parents. I have to check Dad's computer.
"Yay, that means space to run and things to sniff."
"So much space to run and so much to chase and so much to sniff..."
"Over here Darcy, I smell kangaroos!"
"Me too, I smell it too!"
"Maybe over here..."
"No, over here..."

Coffee for me.
"That's it ?! Just coffee ?"
Yes, that's all Daisy-Mae.
"What about dog treats ? You could have bought dog snacks you know."
Next stop, Missy Mae.

The kiddies have come shopping with me.
"What did you buy me to eat, Dad?"
All sorts of nice things, Mr Darcy
One of each, my boy. Chicken, beef and kangaroo.
"Jolly good."
Chippies too. Plain for you, just a few.
"Very nice."
Salt and Vinegar for me, but not for you !
"Well, it must be dinner time then Dad."

Non specific errands
Come in kiddies, we have things to do.
"Sure thing, Dad. Let's go."
"Where are we going anyway, Dad?"
Does it matter ? Non-specific errands, things, stuff, bread, nails... that sort of thing.
"Oh, OK. Well let's go then. No time to waste."

Quick trip to the hardware store.
We are renovating our house, and this means endless trips to the hardware stores.
Buckle up Daisy-Mae.
"Yes Dad. I'm ready to roll."
I suppose there's no point telling you to buckle up, is there Mr Darcy ?
"No chance. Anyway, I get car sick if I can't stick my head out the window."

Very comfy, thank you.
It's been a very busy day for the kiddies, out with their Dad in the car.
Tell them , Mr Darcy.
"Yes Dad.
We've been to Gervasi Deli for mince meat to make our dinners.
We've been to the hardware store for bits and pieces.
We've been here... and we've there too."
"Now we're tired and we're having a little nap in the car while we wait for our Dad."
"Are you OK there Daisy ? You're very comfy."
"Fine thanks, Mr D. You're keeping me nice and warm.

Mr Darcy's first trip to Port Melbourne Beach.
It's another glorious Autumn day. Laura and I are both off work.
Beach ! Fish and chips !
Come on kiddies. Everybody on Mum's lap.
"Yay. The Beach."
"I say, this is very exciting."

Here we go, Mr Darcy. Port Melbourne Beach.
"Wow. What's all that ?"

"It's the sea, stupid."
Daisy, be nice.

"The sea, huh ? What do you do with it ?"

"Paddle your toes, is what you do with it. It's lovely and cool on the tummy too. Give him a push, Mum."
One push, coming up, Daisy. *nudge*

"Wow, this is nice. It's cool too. But...... it's all a bit scary for me."

"Silly mutt. You'll get used to it."
Daisy ! Just because you're old and wise.
