My feet feel cold and wet. Rushall Crescent Community Garden Fitzroy North

"Yay. A puddle. I think I'll have a paddle."
No! You'll get all muddy, Monty.
"Dad, my feet feel cold and wet."
That's because you're standing in a puddle, Monty.
*turns around* "Oh yes, a puddle. Yes."
"Dad, my feet feel cold and wet."
That's because you're still standing in that muddy puddle, you daft old dog.
"Hmm, oh yes, I seem to be standing in a puddle."
"Dad, my bum feels cold and wet."
Haha, you silly plonker. That's because you've just sat in that same puddle.
"Have I ? Oh, well that's probably why my bum feels all wet."

A long way from my supper bowl. Rushall Crescent Community Garden Fitzroy North

"Dad, I think we should head back now."
Why is that, Monty?
"Well, I feel like it's almost dinner time and I'm a long way from my supper bowl."
Is that so?
"Oh yes. It must be almost five o'clock, and I'm starving."
Poor Monty.
"Yes Dad, so let's go home before I starve to death."
Haha, yes well we wouldn't want that.

Hello Monty. What a glorious day!
"Yes Dad. It's a lovely day to be out."
*yawns* "Now the sun's making me sleepy."
That's because you're a lazy lump.
*sniff* "Now the sun's making me sneeze. "
Well don't sneeze on me like you usually do.
*garumpfff* "Phew. That's better."

Last of the pumpkins. Rushall Crescent Community Garden Fitzroy North

We're checking out the Community Garden near Grass Hill today.

Daisy is the fearless explorer.
"Look at me, Dad !"

There's the main gate, with veggie plants spilling out everywhere.

Now for the walk back home, up over Grass Hill.

"Phew ! It's a bit steep, Dad."

Yes, let's both have a little rest.

"Yes Dad. Phew."

Righto, Monty.

"Come on Daisy. Let's go exploring."

"Funny, I feel like someone's watching me. Hmmm..."

"Anyway. There must be lizards in here."

Daisy had come back to look for more.
Hello Chook. I'm coming.

"OK Dad. Hurry up. Monty has gone on ahead."

Righto then. Here's where we go down towards The Creek.

Ah, there's Monty, appearing out from the jungle.

Grass Hill. Part one.

Are you ready for another big adventure, dear reader ?
Well here we go then. This is Grass Hill. This is right next to the Rushall Crescent Community Garden in  Fitzroy North.

Grass Hill is a little park close to home.
It's a nice place to walk for a change.

Monty, the mighty hunter goes looking for lizards.

This is the bench seat on top of the hill.

... looks like the doggies have disappeared over the horizon.
Ah well. I will sit on that bench and wait for them to explore.

Monty. Mighty hunter. Rushall Crescent Gardens

We are up on Grass Hill, a little park planted with native grasses - it's called the Rushall Crescent Gardens.
Monty and Daisy like this spot. They hunt for lizards and other big game.
It keeps them amused for hours.
Then I spend hours picking the grass seeds out of them. Sigh.
