What do you think kiddies ? We're putting new carpet on the stairs.
"It looks good, Dad."
Yes, and it will stop your claws from scratching my stairs too !
"Thhhhpt, if you say so Dad. Good luck with that."
"It's very nice Dad. I like it."
Yes ? Good.
"Yes Dad. It makes it easier for little legs to climb the stairs."
Poor Daisy-Mae.

Very comfy in Granddad's chair.
We are staying at my parents house for the night - just to get away from our renovations.
Comfy there, Mr Darcy ?
"Oh yes thanks Dad. Quite comfy thank you."

Ready for the floor to go down
Move along you two, you're in the way. We have to move everything.
"Wow Dad, it's all empty down here."
Yes Daisy, the floor boards go down tomorrow.
"Dad, with all this excitement, don't forget to feed us."
Poor Mr Darcy, I shall try to find some tucker for you.

A smart jacket for Mr Darcy.
We took a day off from our renovations and went up the country to Heathcote.
We found a lovely new jacket for Mr Darcy. It's been very cold here in Melbourne.
You look very handsome, Mr D.
"Why thank you Dad. It's the latest thing, don't you know."
You look lovely in your jumper too, Daisy-Mae.
"And it's very snug too, Dad."
Lovely kiddies, all snug and warm now.

Washing off the plaster dust, and concrete dust, and ....
We're renovating, and at the moment we are plastering and sanding.
Daisy and Darcy are covered in plaster dust and sawdust and concrete dust and other things too terrible to mention. So, in the tub with you two !
The hydro-bath at the Fitzroy Veterinary Clinic is such a wonderful thing.
"Dad, for once I agree with you. It's all a bit much."
Too right Mr Darcy.

Our doors have arrived.
Hello kiddies, what do you think of our new doors ?
"Very nice Dad, but where is the dog door ?"
Dog door ? Um, I think I forgot to plan for that !
"Well Dad, you had better think of something."
Hmm, maybe you can go out through that low window in the powder room.
"Dad, Darcy is too fat. He'll never squeeze out through that window."
OK, then. Mr Darcy is on a diet. Haha.
"Dad, not fair."

Moving rooms again. Back upstairs.
We are deep into our renovations.
We've been living in one room downstairs. Now it's time to go back up so that we can pull up the old floor boards.
OK kiddies. You're about the last thing. Upstairs with you and your beds.
"Yes Dad."
"OK Dad. I hope we'll have a bit more room. It was a bit of a squish down here.

"Us in the way, Dad ?"
Yes you !

Shoo.
"Come on Daisy, I'll take you for a ride..."

A brief break from the renovations.
You two can sit out here for a while and get some sunshine.
"It's nice out today, Dad."
Yes, it's glorious. It's just so nice to step out from the dust and work.
Nice to see you brought Mr Ted out too, Mr Darcy.
"Oh yes Dad. I'd be lost without Mr Ted."

Quick trip to the hardware store.
We are renovating our house, and this means endless trips to the hardware stores.
Buckle up Daisy-Mae.
"Yes Dad. I'm ready to roll."
I suppose there's no point telling you to buckle up, is there Mr Darcy ?
"No chance. Anyway, I get car sick if I can't stick my head out the window."

Busy busy day. Bath at the Fitzroy Veterinary Clinic.
Busy day today.
Come on Daisy, we have to take more stuff to storage.
"Yes Dad. I'm here to help.
I see you are here to help too, Mr Darcy.
"Oh yes Dad. Where would you be without me ?"
End of a long day and we're going home past the Fitzroy Veterinary Clinic, so into the hydro-bath for you two.
"I think that might be a good idea Dad. I am thick with dust."
"Me too Dad. My hair's a mess."
Si the DogBlogger.

It sure is Daisy-Mae.
"Oh, is that bacon, Dad ?"
Maybe. Would you like some ? Silly question really.

"What are we doing today Dad ?"
Oh, another big adventure of course, Daisy-Mae.
"Gosh Dad. What would that be ?"
Buying some bits of wood. It's always an adventure when you two come with me.
See ? Insert Moulding 32mm by 15mm.
*nod nod* "Yes Dad."
Thanks for coming along for the ride, kiddies.
