Rose Street Artists Market.

We often walk up Brunswick Street to have a coffee.

We're on the way to Shifty Chèvre for breakfast.
This local poet sits at the corner of Rose Street and entices people to visit the Rose Street Artists Market.
Better yet, he always has a pocket full of 'Schmackos' for passing dogs.

Here you go, you two. Have a 'Schmacko'.

"Yum, yes please."
"Me too !"

The Bear Cafe, Brunswick Street, Fitzroy - classic cheese toasty

We're at a vegan cafe this morning called The Bear Cafe, on Brunswick Street, Fitzroy. This of course means no bacon for Daisy-Mae.

Some toast, Mr Darcy?
"Yes please."

More toast ?
"Yes thank you. Very nice."

One more piece ? It's my last corner.
"Too kind."

*grumble grumble* "Dad, I can't believe there's not even a scrap of bacon or a tiny piece of sausage."
Afraid not Miss Daisy. Plain old toasted cheese.
*grumble grumble* "Let me order next time then..."

The Bear Cafe, Brunswick Street, Fitzroy - no bacon.

We've stopped at this nice little vegan cafe called The Bear, on Brunswick Street, Fitzroy.

"Dad, what's for breakfast ? Sausages ? Bacon ?"
No such luck, Daisy-Mae. This is a vegan cafe.

"You're joking, right ? No bacon for my breakfast ?"
Not joking.

*gulp* "But Dad, I shall starve then. I don't do vegan."
Poor Daisy-Mae, my fat little girl. No chance of you starving.
