Coffee and cake at Cavallini Cafe, Fitzroy.

I'm out with Johnny H for coffee and cake. Wait there you two, while we order.
"Yes Dad."

"Toast for me please, Dad."
"Toast?  We'll see."

Good kiddies. There's quiche coming, with carrot cake to follow.

"Yum, quiche."
"Yum, cake."
Yes Daisy, yes Mr Darcy. You shall have some crumbs.

Mr Darcy and Daisy waiting for a snackette. Clockwork Cafe, Clifton Hill

It's a glorious Autumn day and it's my rostered day off, so let's all go for a walk.
Come on you two, let's head to Queens Parade for a snack.

Clockwork Cafe will do just fine. Now what will we have ?
"Gosh, a little snackette would be nice, Dad."
Sure Daisy. What would you like ? And you Mr Darcy ?

"Bacon, Dad."
"Bacon, please Sir."

Sigh, OK. I might have a tandoori chicken pide, with bacon on the side of course.
"Yum. We'll taste that for you too, Dad. Just to make sure it's OK."
Mmmmm. Maybe.

Bacon for you, and for you. Clockwork Cafe for breakfast.

Mr Darcy is slowly settling in.

We've walked up to Queens Parade to Clockwork Cafe for breakfast.
Some bacon, Mr Darcy ?

"Why, thank you Sir. Don't mind if I do."

Some for you too, Daisy.
"Thanks Dad."

A little more for Mr Darcy.
"Yum. I might be on a good thing here with these people."

Last piece for my little Daisy-Mae.
"Mmmm. Bacon. Thanks Dad."

That's all kiddies. Time to stroll on home.

Zacs is closed !

The horror. We arrive at Zacs to buy some snacks, but Zacs is closed.

Monty is having great difficulty coming to terms with this. He's headbutting the door.
Meanwhile Daisy is looking for the water bowl that is always outside.
"Daddddddd, I'm thirsty."

Monty is still staring in through the door, hoping against all hope that someone will open it and let him and give him a liver treat.
Meanwhile Daisy stares up and down the street looking for Kate or Brit.

Sorry kiddies. Looks like no snacks for you today.
You'll have to have dry biscuits at home.
"Dad, that's not funny ! Where is everybody ?! Why won't they let us in ???"

"I'm not going ANYWHERE without my Teddy."

"And Teddy's not going anywhere without me either."

We met this fellow up on Queens Parade, outside Cavallini.

Take-away curry.

Lazy night tonight. I think I'll go for take-away curry from 'Curry and Spice'. They do wonderful creole curries up on Queens Parade.
Come on kiddies, jump in the car.

You two wait here. I'll go buy dinner.
"OK Dad."
"We'll mind the car, Dad."

Wake up you two. I'm back. Daisy, move your bum off my seat !

Then we head on home and tuck into it.
I always give Daisy and Monty a bit of rice and a bit of sauce.
They love hot curry.

"Thanks Dad."
"Anymore ? I'm still hungry."

That's all for you two fatties. I'll find you a bone if the fridge.

Campagnolo at Cavallini Cafe on Queens Parade

Here we are at our favorite cafe, Cavallini on Queens Parade.
See that ?! That's a campagnolo !
Fried eggs, bacon, and their own sensational relish.
Served up in toasted sour dough, drizzled with olive oil.
Yum Yum.

See this ?!
1000 watt laser dog stare !
"We are gonna get some of that, right ?"

Yes Monty, here's a little taste for you.

"Thanks Dad."
And a little taste for Daisy, who drops it....

Clumsy girl.

Mr Nugget

Now here's a handsome fellow. Meet Mr Nugget.

Monty and Daisy and I were up at Cavallini for our breakfast.
Mr Nugget was sitting up on his chair, sharing a piece of toast with his Mum.

Handsome boy. Just look at that lovely coat. Very smart.

What a noble hound.
Cheerio for now.

Here's a funny fellow. Little Kanga.

His mum pushes him around in the shopping trolley.
We met him on a walk up at Queens Parade.

Look at that lovely jumper !
He pokes his head out to surprise passers-by.

"There's another one. Bark bark bark."

"Ha, that made him jump !"

Monty and Daisy waiting for Dad, yet again....

It seems like Monty and Daisy are always waiting for Dad.
Waiting for walkies. Waiting for Dad to come home.
Waiting outside shops. Waiting for bacon.
Poor kiddies.

Here they are waiting for Dad, outside Swords Wines, where I buy my chocolate and wine.
Today I have dropped in to Swords to buy some chocolate.
I like Hachez Cherry Tomato and Salt chocolate. It's the best.

Good kiddies, waiting patiently.

They are very well behaved.

Ok, I have my chocolate. Time to go.

Bikkies at Cavallini.

Ahh, I like afternoon shifts.
We can all go for walkies up to Cavallini on Queens Parade.
Monty is watching the door to the cafe, knowing he will get a biscuit.
Cavallini proved little bikkies for the doggies.

One for Monty.

One for Daisy.

Only two biscuits left now.

Monty, one for you.

Monty licks up the crumbs.

Daisy, one for you.

Now a little piece of Dad's toast for Monty.

That's enough for you two. Let me eat in peace.
Bye for now.

The big big walk (and wash). Part six.

We are out on a big big walk. Now we are almost at Zac's Pet Supplies.
Monty knows the way. No hesitation. Straight in the door.

Daisy too, running as fast as she can. Straight inside for free snacks.

There they are, scrounging liver treats.

Britt is on today. That's good. Lots of free liver treats for Monty and Daisy.
Thanks Britt. We like Britt.

I stock up my bag with kangaroo chewies and off we go again.
To be continued...
