Dog maintenance. Monty's toes.

"Hello Dad. What are we doing today?"
Hello kiddies. We have to go and trim Monty's toenails.

"Oh. As long as your not doing anything to ME."
No Daisy. You're safe for today.

Show me your toes, Monty.
"No Dad. It tickles, and I'm very delicate."

Poor Monty. Now show me your toes. Yes, they definitely need trimming.
Let's go up to Zacs.

"But Dad... I don't wanna......"

Not a fast business.

Sigh, walking old Monty takes a lot of patience.

It's not a fast business.

"Hmm, hmm, hmm. I think I need to pee here."
Monty, hurry up.

"Hmm, hmm, hmm, ooh, someone's dropped some crumbs over here."
Monty ! Hurry up !

"Hmm, hmm, hmm, I think I'll just take a drink from Zac's water bowl."
Monty. Hurry up will ya ?!

"Hmm, hmm, hmm, now I need to pee again."
Monty. Hurry up !

"Hmm, hmm, hmm, I bet there's a bit of pizza crust dropped over here."
Montyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. Hurry up !

Big important things with Dad.

OK kiddies, jump in the car. We have lots to do.
Are you ready to do big important things with your Dad ?

"Yes Dad."
"Me too Dad."

First we go to Swords Wines to stock up in red wine.
Monty knows to wait by the door.

Then to Zacs Pet Supplies for chewies for Monty and Daisy.
Then to the Microwave Man to buy a new motor for the microwave turntable.

"Can I come in Dad ?"
No, you wait outside Daisy.

See ?! New motor.
"Yes Dad."

Then to Loafer Bread for a loaf of stone-ground unbleached white bread. Yum.
"Yum."

Look at that. That's a good morning's work.
Wine, newspaper, motor, dog chewies, groceries ...

Thanks for coming with me kiddies.

Zacs is closed !

The horror. We arrive at Zacs to buy some snacks, but Zacs is closed.

Monty is having great difficulty coming to terms with this. He's headbutting the door.
Meanwhile Daisy is looking for the water bowl that is always outside.
"Daddddddd, I'm thirsty."

Monty is still staring in through the door, hoping against all hope that someone will open it and let him and give him a liver treat.
Meanwhile Daisy stares up and down the street looking for Kate or Brit.

Sorry kiddies. Looks like no snacks for you today.
You'll have to have dry biscuits at home.
"Dad, that's not funny ! Where is everybody ?! Why won't they let us in ???"

The big big walk (and wash). Part six.

We are out on a big big walk. Now we are almost at Zac's Pet Supplies.
Monty knows the way. No hesitation. Straight in the door.

Daisy too, running as fast as she can. Straight inside for free snacks.

There they are, scrounging liver treats.

Britt is on today. That's good. Lots of free liver treats for Monty and Daisy.
Thanks Britt. We like Britt.

I stock up my bag with kangaroo chewies and off we go again.
To be continued...

Snacks. We have run out of Snacks.

"Dadddddddd, we've run out of snacks. We're going up to see Kate at Zac's."
"Yeah Dad. Can you drive us ? It's raining."

You lazy lumps. Get in the car then.
Mont, that's my seat. And you have put your wet feet on my seat !

Daisy, you're a good girl.
"Yes Dad. See, I put my wet feet on the towel."

Good girl.
"Come on Dad. Jump in. Hurry up."

I will when Monty moves his bum.
"Ok Dad, we're all set. Let's go."

Monty and Daisy visit Kate at Zacs

Whenever we go up to Queens Parade we visit Kate.

Kate works at Zacs Pet Supplies where we go for our Snacks.
"Hurry up Dad."

"Hello Kate." "Hello Kate."

"Hello Monty. Hello Daisy"

"Where's your Dad ?" "Oh, out there somewhere."

"Who wants a liver treat ?"
"Me !" "Me too!"

"Thanks Kate." "Yeah thanks Kate. We like you."
Ok you two, let's go. I have bought Snacks for the week.
"See you later Kate." "Yeah, see you later Kate. Thanks for the Treats"

"Dad, I'm thirsty now".

So Monty takes a drink from the busker's bowl where he keeps his coins.
That's OK laughs the busker. I put water there for the dogs.

Crossing the road.

Monty and Daisy are not very well trained.
But they are very well behaved.
When we come to a road, they will stop if I say "Wait".

Here we are up on Queens Parade, going to Zac's to buy treats.

"Wait"

"Wait, Monty!"

"Ok, let's go!"

And off we go. Straight to Zac's to see Kate for treats.

Zac's Pet Supplies, Queens Parade Clifton Hill

Most weekends we walk up to Zac's Pet Supplies for a fresh supply of treats. We buy kangaroo chewies and kangaroo sausages.
Zacs is at 362 Queens Parade, Clifton Hill.

We rush into the store to visit Kate.
"C'mon Dad."

"Hurry up Dad. Well, I'm going in."

"Daddddddd, hurry up, Daisy has already gone in."

"Are we going in? I want treats from Kate too."

Even if I am not buying treats, Monty and Daisy run into to see Kate.

Kate is lovely, and always gives us liver treats.

"Thanks Kate."
