Very smart in my new jammies.

We saw this little fellow sitting outside the supermarket. (That's not Darcy, by the way.)

Hello there, you look very smart in that jumper.
"Hello yourself. Oh yes, they're my new winter jammies. They're very snug."

Nice. Where's your mum ?
"She's in the supermarket buying my supper."

Nice. Bye then.
Bye.

Dog Surfing.

Joseph has come to visit, so we're taking Daisy for a walk.

Let's go Dog Surfing. Come on Daisy... Pull !
"Rightio Dad. Hold tight, Joseph."

"Phew. He's a bit heavy."
Well, put a bit of effort into it Daisy.

"Phew, I'm pulling, but I don't think this is going to work. Shouldn't he be on a sled or sleigh or something ?"

Hmm, I think you're right. Let's all just walk instead.

A tribute to Mr Thumper. "Little menial things".

Today's a sad day.

A fellow dogblogger has finally come to that day we all dread ...

when we have to send our four legged friend,
our companion on our adventures,
our little ball of fluff and shedding dog hair,
our wet and muddy dog feet,
our staring brown eyes,
our insatiable stomach,
our warm, wet nose ... to the great dog heaven in the sky.

My condolences to "My Typist" at "little dogs on long leashes" at the loss of Rufus B Thumper.
Read it here at "Little Menial Things". Try not to cry too much. It's a very sad post.

Farewell Rufus. Requiescat in pace.

You looked in a mirror recently, Daisy ?

Come on you two, we have to go and buy curry from Singh's.

"Hang on Dad. I need a roll first."

You just go right ahead, Daisy.

Hello boy

Hello Dear Readers.
Monty and Daisy and I were out for our daily walk.

We were up on Delbridge Street, when I saw this fellow.
He was sitting in his favorite spot behind the fence.
Hello boy.
"Hello yourself."

"Any chance of a scratch, then ?"
Sure, glad too.

Monty comes to investigate.
"Dad, why are we stopping ? Oh, hello boy."
"Hello Monty. Alright then ?"

Daisy comes to investigate.
"Hello boy."
"Hello Daisy. Feeding you well, is he ?"

And off we trot to continue our adventures.

Special Guest - Vale Fletcher Christian.

I'm adding in an extra post today do celebrate the life, and the passing, of Fletcher Christian.

R.I.P. 20/04/2040

Fletcher lived with our old friend, Sue.
We received this email a few days ago.

"To all of you who have known and loved our dear boy Fletcher, I'd just like to let you know that he didn't wake up this morning. Passed peacefully in his sleep, in his favorite bed (Chessie's). He will be greatly missed. A constant and faithful friend."

Here he is with his blankie.

Here's a lovely pic of Fletcher enjoying the sun on his outside bed.

Poor Fletcher, staring out the window. Waiting ...

Lovely boy. He will be missed.
Our condolences and our love go out to Sue.

Sue, scroll down to the links at the bottom for the Lost Dogs Home.
Fletcher may have left, but there are so many more needing a home and some love.
