It's a lovely warm Spring day, so we're down at The Creek.

Daisy has found something stinky to roll in. That didn't take long.

There she goes. Right shoulder down and roll, roll, roll.

It's the first warm day of Spring, so we strolled down to The Creek.

Grass Hill. Part five.

This is the last part of our Grass Hill adventure.

We reach the creek and the kiddies jump straight in.
Daisy only ever goes in up to her tummy.

Monty is the might hunter and not afraid of anything.

Time to do some serious exploring. Monty always takes the lead.

Grass Hill. Part four

This is part four of our adventures at Grass Hill.

Monty and Daisy are racing on ahead.

Well, Monty is strolling, not racing. Poor old boy.
He's slowing down a bit these days.

We are almost at the creek, so off with the leads or they will be covered in mud and creek water.
There they go, naked, ready for a paddle.

Ah, there's our secret path down the hill to The Creek. Hurray.

We're around the back of the Rushall Crescent Community Garden in  Fitzroy North.

Daisy is less adventurous than Monty.
She was a bit scared of the creek in flood, so she only goes in a little way. Poor chicken.




Still, this was a lot of fun and very exciting for a small hound.

We had a big rain on a hot day.
We have all gone down to the Merri Creek to check out the flood.
Monty and Daisy have had a paddle. Now they are exploring.

"Come on Daisy, up here."

"Wait for me !"

"Let's go up here."

"Hey ! I was here first. Stop pushing."
"I'm not pushing."

"Yes you are. Dad, Daisy's pushing me."
Well, push her back.

"Monty, stop pushing me, I'm falling off."

Merri Creek in flood. Part one.

We had a big rain on a hot day, so we went down to check out the Merri Creek.
Monty and Daisy run straight in to check things out.

"Wow, Dad, look at all this water."
Be careful kiddies, it's flowing pretty fast !

I opened the front door and the kiddies wouldn't come out for a walk.

This is the next video, and worst by far !
I have to say I laugh out loud every time I look at this one.

Ick!
Now scroll back a few days to when Daisy ran under a truck. That was this very afternoon !
So she went into the vet stinking and covered in mud. I hadn't even had a chance to wash her.
She stunk out my car and she stunk out the vets, and she stunk out our house for days until I could give her a sponge bath.

As soon as all her wounds had healed well enough, into the tub she went !

First hot day of summer.

It's been a stinking hot day today, so we all piled in the car and headed for The Merri Creek.
Monty's a champ. He jumps straight in and swims to the other side.

Daisy always trails behind, not quite so certain.

See, Daisy is a chicken and only goes out to her tummy depth.

Monty ! You hero, you swam all the way across.

Well done.
Daisy, you stay with your Dad on this side. You'll just sink with your little legs.
