Poor Daisy went to the vet this morning to have a lump removed from her face. It's a terrible ordeal, especially for me. Waiting for news. Hoping she will be all right.
We picked up Daisy this afternoon. The poor little chicken was all dopey from the anesthetic.
But she is all right. Simone has taken the lump from her face. Thank you Simone.
Little Daisy came out with her "braveness bandanna" on, looking sad and gorgeous.
Poor Daisy has a spot growing on her face, so she went in for surgery this morning. She had to fast last night so no dinner. The poor thing almost collapsed from hunger. Monty and I walked back home, and ran into this cat on the way.
This cat was totally unafraid of Monty, and proceeded to chase him down the street.
Every time Monty turned back to chase the cat, it coming running back after him to take a swipe at his nose.
Poor Monty.Watch out for that cat. It's coming backkkkk. Now we are home, he is having a sook. I think the cat hurt his pride.Poor Monty.
Tonight I have two more Guest Appearances.Firstly we have this little Scaramouch. I was walking up Queens Parade when this little hound popped up out of a shopping trolley to give me a right scolding. What a darling.
Next all the way from Romania, we have Danut's lovely doggo, Ralph. Now that's right across the other side of the world from Fitzroy, Australia, but the internet makes such friendships easy. What a gorgeous boy.Ralph is a six year old Cocker Spaniel, and can be quiet naughty sometimes.
That's all tonight. Just a quick post.Goodnight. Ooh no, just found this one too. There's Phil and Monty. We sit in that park quiet often, enjoying the sun and a beer.
I have been sorting through My Pictures and have just found a few pictures of our old Bull Terrier, Bronson. Bronny Boy was the most gentle and loving dog. All he wanted was a bowl of spaghetti or a hug. That's not too much to ask for. Here he is in his jammies. The poor old thing was very old when these pictures were taken, so we cut down an old jumper and he wore that most of the time. He would occasionally escape out the front door if we left it open, and because of the crick in his neck, he would always keep turning right. We would find him in the panel beaters workshop around the corner, following the calls of "hello old boy, escape again, did we?"
There are days when it is too hard to wash Monty and Daisy in the laundry sink.
So, we pack our bags and head off across the park to the hydro bath at the Fitzroy Veterinary Clinic. Oh, this is so much easier than washing the doggies in the sink. I throw them both in together, and hose them down.
Here's Monty heading home after his B.A.T.H. We don't LIKE bath days.We have a big run in the park afterward to dry off.
Here's Daisy looking lovely and fluffy. They certainly get a lot more smooches when they are clean and fluffy
