This was about the last hot day of our Australian summer.
We jumped in the car and trotted down to The Merri Creek for a paddle.

I found this video in my phone as well, so here we go.
Daisy is less adventurous than Monty.
She was a bit scared of the creek in flood, so she only goes in a little way. Poor chicken.




Still, this was a lot of fun and very exciting for a small hound.

Special Guests - Rhombus and Indy

We went out for breakfast to Sugardough. That's a cracker of a cafe.
They bake some fantastic cakes and breads.

Sitting outside where these two lovely, patient Labradors.

Rhombus is very sad because he has no snacks.

"See ? In front of me there ? No snacks. Sigh"

In the alley behind Danny's Hamburgers

Hamburgers for dinner tonight !
Come on kiddies, in the car, let's go to Danny's !

I place our order - 2 with the lot and extra cheese, large chips - then we go for a stroll down the alley behind Danny's.

"Dad ! Check this out. It's a hole in the fence."
Yes Monty. Very nice.

It's quiet down here.

The sun and the trees make wonderful shadows.

There are no cars to run us over.

There are corners to wee in and old boxes to sit on.

Righto then, our hamburgers should be ready, let's head back.
