Monty's eye. Part five.

This is the last post in this little saga... for now anyway.
Poor Monty has a lump in his eye, so we've been to see Jess at The Vet.

I've also taken the opportunity to give the kiddies a wash in their hydro-bath.
They're both all clean and fluffy now.
"Yes Dad."

I love playing with Daisy's fringe when she's just been washed.
"Yes Dad."

All the hair on the top of her head stands up and blows in the breezes.
"Yes Dad."

My lovely girl.
"Yes Dad."

Monty's eye. Part four.

This is almost the end of another little saga.
Poor Monty has a lump growing in his eye. We're at The Vet to check it out.
Not to waste an opportunity, I have thrown Monty and Daisy in their hydro-bath.

Ah, all clean now.
*grumblegrumbledon't like beingclean*
Poor Monty. At least Jess The Vet will like you now.

Ah my little Daisy-Mae, I do love you so much more when you're clean and fluffy.

Smile for your readers ! Lovely.

"Dad, do you really love us more when we're clean ?!"

Ah, yup ! Sure do.

"Oh."
To be continued for one more post...

Monty's eye. Part three.

Here we are at The Fitzroy Vet on yet another expensive dog saga.
Poor Monty has a lump growing in his eye.

While we're at The Vet, we're going to have a wash in their hydro-bath.
Every body get naked.

"But Dad, you just washed me in the sink a few days ago !"
Yes but you've been burying things in the back yard and your face is filthy.

*grumblegrumbledon'twantawash*
Monty ! Even Jess said you stink.

"Jess said that ? Oh, I don't want to offend her then."

Come on you two, let's get it over and done with.

"Dad ! You put water up my nose !"
Sorry Daisy. I had to scrub your filthy face.

Nearly done.
To be continued a little more....

Monty's eye. Part two.

Here we go on yet another expensive dog saga.
Poor Monty has a lump growing in his eye, poor thing.

Here we are at The Fitzroy Vet, waiting for Jess to see Monty.
*yawn*
"Dad, I want a liver treat from the nurses."

We've been studied and poked and prodded by the lovely Jess.
She says we'll have to cut that lump out, and have eye drops, and also heart tablets for the old man.
Did you hear all that Monty ?
"Yes Dad. I think heart tablets sounds like a good idea, Dad."

Sigh, it's gonna cost a fortune, again.
"Sorry Dad."
Don't you be sorry, my lovely boy.

"What about me, Dad ?"
You're just fine Daisy. All you need is a W.A.S.H.

... and that's next on the agenda. We'll go use the vet's hydro-bath.

Monty's eye. Part one.

Sigh. Here we go again. Another saga.

Monty ! Show me your eye.
"Yes Dad. It hurts a bit."

Wow. That has grown quickly.
"Yes Dad. Can you make it better please ?"

Well, let's head straight to The Vet then.
"Um, is that necessary ?"

Yes it is necessary.
We'll get your worm tablets and maybe have a wash too !

"Dad, do you think the nurses will give us a liver treat ?"
Yes of course they will, Daisy. Be patient.

To be continued, probably for quite a while, sigh ....

A tribute to Mr Thumper. "Little menial things".

Today's a sad day.

A fellow dogblogger has finally come to that day we all dread ...

when we have to send our four legged friend,
our companion on our adventures,
our little ball of fluff and shedding dog hair,
our wet and muddy dog feet,
our staring brown eyes,
our insatiable stomach,
our warm, wet nose ... to the great dog heaven in the sky.

My condolences to "My Typist" at "little dogs on long leashes" at the loss of Rufus B Thumper.
Read it here at "Little Menial Things". Try not to cry too much. It's a very sad post.

Farewell Rufus. Requiescat in pace.

What's that at my feet ?

What's that at my feet ?!

*zzzzzzzz snort*

"Oh, good morning Dad."
Monty ! How did you get here ?

"Mum lifted me in because I'm old and she felt sorry for me."
Lazy lump. Up you get. Time for breakfast for everybody.
