Mr Darcy's toy box. Pink Flamingo

We're looking in Mr Darcy's toy box again.
This poor thing is Pink Flamingo.

*snatch*
Darcy ! Give him back !

"Grrr. No chance. I'm still trying to pull that other wing off."
Mr Darcy has already pulled all the stuffing out of him three or four times, you see.

Poor thing. Hollow and empty and bereft of stuffing.
No legs either. Darcy has pulled the rope legs out altogether.

Shall we stuff him again, Mr D ?
"Sure Dad. That will keep me busy for half a day, pulling it all out again."
Hmm, maybe I won't bother then.

Mr Darcy's toy box. Little Ted.

This is Mr Darcy's toy box.
We found out that had loved playing with toys when we took him to Doodlebug Pet Friendly Holiday House
Ever since then we buy him a new toy to play with, now and then.

This one is Little Ted.
Poor Little Ted used to sit on top of my computer until Laura gave him to Mr Darcy to play with.

"Mine Dad. Give him to me !"
 Be patient.

You be nice to poor Little Ted.
*nod nod* "Yes of course Dad. Gimme."

Here you go. Grab an arm.
*grrrrrrr*

"Yay. Little Ted ! Chase me, Dad. Throw him for me ! Let's play. Rarrrr. "

Victim of a tragic haircut.

It's going to be another hot Summer here in Melbourne.

I have dug out the dog clippers and given Daisy her first haircut.
I feel a bit bad that I have cut her fringe off too. Show me, Daisy ...

"Yes Dad. But at least I feel cooler."

Let me look side on. Hmmm, well at least it's growing back already.
"Yes Dad. But at least I can see now."

And the rest of you looks like a plague victim. Maybe a W.A.S.H. would help.
"Go easy there, Dad ! Anyway I like it now when you pat me. It's all nice and prickly."

Poor chicken. At least your mustache still looks fine.

Coffee and cake at Cavallini Cafe, Fitzroy.

I'm out with Johnny H for coffee and cake. Wait there you two, while we order.
"Yes Dad."

"Toast for me please, Dad."
"Toast?  We'll see."

Good kiddies. There's quiche coming, with carrot cake to follow.

"Yum, quiche."
"Yum, cake."
Yes Daisy, yes Mr Darcy. You shall have some crumbs.

Not talking to you.

Hello Mr Darcy, I'm home.

"I'm not talking to you, Dad."
Why not, Mr D ?

"Because you left me all alone and went to work and I was very sad."
Poor thing. Let's go for a walk and have a smooch and maybe have a snack too. Then you'll feel better.

"OK Dad. But maybe you can take me to work tomorrow? "
Maybe.

La pasta.

Ahhh, a lovely bowl of pasta and a glass of wine.

"I'm hungry, Dad."
Poor Mr Darcy. Here, try a taste of my pasta.

"Mmmm, yum. Very tasty."
Another piece?

"Thank you, I don't mind if I do."
Lovely boy. Here's some more.

"Very nice, thank you."

Last piece, there's none left now.

"Very kind, I'm sure. "
Maybe dessert now...

Hurry home, Dad.

Bye bye my beautiful boy. I'll see you later.
"Don't go, Dad. I'll be very sad."

Poor boy. You be good and mind the house.
"Take me with you, Dad, and we can play all day."

I wish that I could. It would be fun to take you to work. Bye bye Mr Darcy.
