Winnie. End of day two.

Another big day for my new girl.
We've had a play with mum.
We've had a haircut from dad.
We've had a big walk in the park and some snacks and then dinner.

Time for sleep now.

First haircut for Winnie

Poor Winnie is thick with hair. She's hot and a bit overweight.
Time for a haircut.

End of day one with Winnie.

It's been a big day. Everybody into bed and go to sleep. I'm tired too.
It's always traumatic going to the Lost Dogs Home.

On the subject of Pet Rescue

On the subject of Pet Rescue...

We tried to adopt a few dogs through Pet Rescue Australia, and although we emailed off the lengthy applications and tried to chase up by email, we never heard a thing from them. We gave up.

In the couple of weeks of trying to adopt through Pet Rescue, I could have had 10 dogs from the other lost dogs homes such as Lort Smith or RSCPCA or North Melbourne.

I gave up on them, Pet Rescue. I found my new girl at North Melbourne and took her straight away.

We've just rescued Winnie.

A momentous day today. We finally have a new addition to the family.

Meet Winnie. I've just rescued her from the Lost Dogs Home at North Melbourne.
That's her on the left, Mr Darcy on the right.

She's 9 years old and was found on the streets. Poor thing.

Here we are coming home in the car. Hello Mr Darcy. You have a new girlfriend.

Hello Winnie. She doesn't seem to mind the car.

We go straight to Petstock for a new collar.

Pet Rescue. Tallie - not to be.

Well, we still haven't heard back from Pet Rescue about Leela, but our application for Tallie has been replied to.

She looks gorgeous.

** Update. After three emails, I never did hear back from Pet Rescue. No Tallie for me.

She's old, but she looks adorable.

Pet Rescue. Leela - not to be.

We've just applied to adopt a new dog, Leela, from Pet Rescue.
We're both still very sad about losing Daisy, and we need some one else to lavish attention on.
