Monty and the grass seed again ! Part two.

This is part two of the tale of poor Monty having a grass seed chopped out of his foot.
Here he is with his foot in a bandage and his eye shaved.

He is a bit dopey from the anesthetic, but he still wanted to go for a walk.

He has an old 'drip bag' over his bandage to stop his foot getting wet.

We went up to see Gabby at Zacs Pet Supplies to buy him a few treats.
(Hello Gabby. Thank you from Monty and Daisy for the liver treats.)

That plastic bag makes a terrible noise as it drags along the ground. Everybody was laughing at him and calling out "poor old man !".
But at least the poor boy had a small walk.

Lovely Monty is a brave boy. Cheerio for now.

Monty and the grass seed again ! Part one.

Poor Monty had a grass seed stuck in his foot.
I thought it had all come out but it flared up again.
I had to take the poor boy back to the Fitzroy Vet to have it checked out.

The lovely Jess cut out the grass seed, checked his heart, and took a little cyst off his eyelid.
Here we are on the way back from the vet. Poor Monty is still very dopey from the operation.

He has a shaved eye, shaved patches here and there, and his foot in a bandage.

Poor Monty.
He has a plastic bag over his foot so that the bandage doesn't get wet.

Monty, show me your eye. You poor thing.

Poor Monty. Still, it looks a lot better.

Thanks to Jess and all the staff at the Fitzroy Vet for looking after poor Monty.
To be continued...

Special Guest - Bonny at Sherry's party.

We went to Sherry's birthday party. Ron and Deb and Bonny where there.
Bonny has just been rescued and has found a happy home.

There's Daisy disappearing into the kitchen to check for crumbs. Hello Bonny.
"Hello yourself."

Isn't she beautiful in her new coat. Lovely Bonny.

"Thanks. I love my new coat. It's a cold day and it keeps me toasty."

"Um, but I am a bit hungry...."

Shortly after, I find Monty and Bonny looking for crumbs in the kitchen.

"There's too many feet here. I think I will hide under this chair for a bit."

"Sigh, I'm tired now. I think I will hide under the table."

"Yawn. Time for my nap."

Cheerio for now.
Hello to Ron and Deb and Bonny from all of us at the DogBlog.

Driving Miss Daisy

I teaching Josh to drive at the moment. I went to jump in the car to take him for a lesson.
"I'm coming too Dad."
Sigh, OK Daisy. Buckle up then. It's a cold and rainy day.

We go and collect Josh and get ready to drive out into the country.

There's me and my girl. She's just been washed, so she is all fluffy.

There's Daisy enjoying the scenery.

We've been out for a while, so she is ready for her snooze.

It's been a quiet and peaceful day, just cruising around the country.

That's all for now. Hello to Josh and good luck with the driving test.

Daisy's bath in the sink.

Some days I can't be bothered walking to the vet to use their Hydrobath, so I wash the doggies in the sink. This is a very messy procedure and it makes the whole house stink of wet dogs.

Poor Daisy. She hates a wash.
"Let me out !!!"

Poor chicken.

All right, let's dry you off.

Looking a bit better now.

There's my lovely clean girl.

That should keep her clean for a day or two anyway.

Scrounging sausages outside the Bowls Club.

There is a Bowls Club down in The Edinburgh Gardens in Fitzroy.
They have these wonderful "Bare Foot Bowling" nights in summer.
If we are lucky we will find a chop bone or half a sausage thrown over the fence.

Any luck there Daisy ?

"No Dad, not a thing."

Well, keep looking. You may get lucky.

"Nope, nothing. Grumble grumble."

Monty and Daisy check out the Guerilla Garden

We walked up past The Pub to see how the Guerrilla Garden is going.

This garden was planted by the Cultivating Community group.

We often walk past and pull out a few weeds and maybe take a few beans.

How's it looking Monty ?
"Looks good Dad."

Daisy is busy checking it all out.

I now have a pocket full of Snake Beans.
