Special Guests - Bronte and Ted

Once again our walk takes us up to Queens Parade.
There's Bronte in the back. Lovely girl.
Hello Bronte.

"Hello"

Here's little Ted in the front.

"Hello. Alright then ?!"
Lovely Ted.
Good bye Ted. Good bye Bronte. See you later.

Waiting for Dad. Once again.

Poor Monty. Poor Daisy. Shut inside while Dad goes out shopping.

Mum took this photo and sent it to me when I was out.
You can just see Monty's nose under the table... waiting for his Dad.

Bad hair day for Daisy. Post accident.

Here we are, out for a walk.
This is a week after Daisy ran under a car.
She's looking good now. Most of the wounds have healed.

However the vet had to trim her head to check out her wounds.
Bend down a bit Daisy. Show us your scone.

Poor thing. Look at that ugly head.
Shaved bonce. She's lost her lovely fringe, and that nasty knock is still healing.

"Am I really ugly Dad ?"

No Daisy-Mae. You're not ugly.
You are without doubt my most gorgeous girl, and I am so glad that you are alive and well.

Hit by a truck. Part three.

This is now a few days after poor Daisy ran under a truck.
The lovely girls at Animal Emergency patched her up and treated her for shock.
Now she's home with her Dad, and Mum has washed her wounds.

Show me you poor scabby head, Daisy.

Ick, look at that. That was a nasty knock.

Tufts of skin and hair hanging off her face. I will have to trim that.

Monty ! Sigh. You just have to push your nose in to everything that Daisy is doing.

"But what about me Dad. I want some attention too."

Hit by a truck. Part two. Animal Accident Emergency

Oh my poor little Daisy. She ran under a truck.
I had to race her to Animal Emergency for shock treatment.

This is day two in hospital. We've come for a visit.
This was a very tearful event, believe me. Oh, my poor little girl.

Head shaved. Patches and scratches.

Oxygen tube up the nose. She didn't like that apparently.
Very sad.

Don't be sad my little girl. We'll have you home soon.

Thank you to Tammy and all the girls at Animal Emergency.
Thank you for saving my little girl.
If any pet owners from Melbourne read this, put them in your phone.

Hit by a truck. Part one. Animal Accident Emergency

Sigh, if it's not one thing, it's another.

Poor Daisy has only just mended from her last little operation.
I was doing a bit of gardening out the front with the doggies under my feet.
I was just thinking that I hadn't seen Daisy for 30 seconds when I heard car tires screeching.
She wandered out onto the road and went under a car. It must have been a high 4 Wheel Drive, for I just saw her come rolling out from underneath, yelping and crying.

I picked her up in my arms and raced her straight to the 24 hour Animal Accident Emergency centre at Essendon Airport.

End result. Badly bruised ribs. Badly bruised legs.

Lots of cuts and grazes.

Bit through her tongue. Ouch.

A bad knock on her head. Bad shock. But alive.

My poor girl.
I would like to extend a big thank you to all the girls at Animal Emergency. You were all wonderful. You looked after my little girl and you were very kind to me.
Thank you.
This is the first time I have been top Animal Emergency, and I was very impressed.

Poor little bucket head, part 5.

These are the last of the pics from when Daisy had some lumps removed from her chin, and had to wear this bucket on her head.

Are you OK there Daisy Mae ?

*wink* "I'm fine thanks Dad."

You're such a brave girl.

Only one more day and the stitches come out.
Then we can take that bucket off your head.

"That will be good, Dad. Then I can eat again."
