This is the second video of our hot day at The Merri Creek.
Daisy's favorite pastime is rolling in the dust and mud.
Ick, and if you think that's bad, just wait until the next one !

First hot day of summer. Video one.
I took a few videos on this first hot day of summer at The Merri Creek.
This is the first one as we raced down for a swim.
More to come. Stay tuned.

First hot day of summer.
It's been a stinking hot day today, so we all piled in the car and headed for The Merri Creek.
Monty's a champ. He jumps straight in and swims to the other side.

Daisy always trails behind, not quite so certain.

See, Daisy is a chicken and only goes out to her tummy depth.

Monty ! You hero, you swam all the way across.

Well done.
Daisy, you stay with your Dad on this side. You'll just sink with your little legs.

Take-away curry.
Lazy night tonight. I think I'll go for take-away curry from 'Curry and Spice'. They do wonderful creole curries up on Queens Parade.
Come on kiddies, jump in the car.

You two wait here. I'll go buy dinner.
"OK Dad."
"We'll mind the car, Dad."

Wake up you two. I'm back. Daisy, move your bum off my seat !

Then we head on home and tuck into it.
I always give Daisy and Monty a bit of rice and a bit of sauce.
They love hot curry.

"Thanks Dad."
"Anymore ? I'm still hungry."

That's all for you two fatties. I'll find you a bone if the fridge.

Special Guests - Bronte and Ted
Once again our walk takes us up to Queens Parade.
There's Bronte in the back. Lovely girl.
Hello Bronte.

"Hello"

Here's little Ted in the front.

"Hello. Alright then ?!"
Lovely Ted.
Good bye Ted. Good bye Bronte. See you later.

Waiting for Dad. Once again.
Poor Monty. Poor Daisy. Shut inside while Dad goes out shopping.

Mum took this photo and sent it to me when I was out.
You can just see Monty's nose under the table... waiting for his Dad.

Bad hair day for Daisy. Post accident.
Here we are, out for a walk.
This is a week after Daisy ran under a car.
She's looking good now. Most of the wounds have healed.

However the vet had to trim her head to check out her wounds.
Bend down a bit Daisy. Show us your scone.

Poor thing. Look at that ugly head.
Shaved bonce. She's lost her lovely fringe, and that nasty knock is still healing.

"Am I really ugly Dad ?"

No Daisy-Mae. You're not ugly.
You are without doubt my most gorgeous girl, and I am so glad that you are alive and well.
