Minding the car for Dad

Another day and another adventure.
Even just going to the shops is an adventure for these two.
In the car, out again, wait for Dad, get a pat, wait again at the next shop, get a smooch.

You two, mind the car while I go buy some vegies.
"Yes Dad."
"Dad ! Buy us some bones too please."
Can do, Daisy-Mae.

Funny how they always seem to be in MY seat when I come back.

Hello Daisy.
"Hello Dad. Your seat is nice and warm."

Hmmmm. Well, shove over you two, back to YOUR side.

That fringe

Have a look at that. That's an amazing fringe.
Funny to think that poor Daisy had so little hair or gloss in her coat when we rescued her from The Lost Dogs Home.
Poor chicken.
Love makes you hairy. Beware.

Monty and Daisy and the cat on the high fence.

Another day, another walk, another adventure.

This time it's a cat on a high fence.

"Dad ! Dad ! It's a cat ! It's a cat."

Yes, I can see that. Leave the poor thing alone.
"Bark bark bark !"

Mind you, the cat seems to be ignoring you two.
"Bark bark bark."

Sigh, come on you two, leave it alone.
"Bark bark bark."

Leave it alone now or you get a tweak !

Monty wants a taste

I'm cooking up a tuna, lime and chilli pasta. Monty's favorite.

"Can I have a taste, Dad ?"

Not yet Monty, it's still cooking.
"Oh well, I'll have a nap then. Zzzzzz. "

Monty, why don't you go and lie in your bed, it'll be a while.
"That's OK. I have nothing else to do right now."

OK, well you can sit there on the cold floor.
"Fine. Let me know when I can have a taste, Dad."
"Zzzzzzzz"

OK, the sauce is cooked, the pasta is cooked.

"Mmmmm. Smells good Dad. Can I have a taste now please ?"
Greedy pig. You've already had your dinner.
OK Monty you can have a taste. Just wait for it to cool.

Monty and Daisy in the ivy.

Another day, another walk, another adventure.

We went down an alley we haven't been down before.
Monty and Daisy found this wall of ivy to explore.

Monty goes in first

There's his backside disappearing.

He's had enough, and out he comes.
Daisy goes in for a look.

There's her backside, going, going ...

She'll come out soon enough.

Hello boy

Hello Dear Readers.
Monty and Daisy and I were out for our daily walk.

We were up on Delbridge Street, when I saw this fellow.
He was sitting in his favorite spot behind the fence.
Hello boy.
"Hello yourself."

"Any chance of a scratch, then ?"
Sure, glad too.

Monty comes to investigate.
"Dad, why are we stopping ? Oh, hello boy."
"Hello Monty. Alright then ?"

Daisy comes to investigate.
"Hello boy."
"Hello Daisy. Feeding you well, is he ?"

And off we trot to continue our adventures.

A scratch ?

Monty, come here.
I'll give you a scratch if you show me your new coat.
''grumble grumble ok Dad but no more posing in the coat ok ! I feel like a big plonker. Warm, but still a plonker.''
OK Monty, noted.
