Our lovely new Nokia N8. Thanks Nokia.

We won a new phone from Nokia. It's very exciting. A shiny new Nokia N8.

"Dad ! There's a delivery van here."
Thanks Monty. Coming.

"It's very exciting, Dad."
"Hurry up and open it. We want to see !"

Well if I can just have a look at it myself...

"Dad, can I have a peek ?"
Here you go Daisy.

"I'd better have a taste too, just to be sure. Hum, it's OK."
Are you sure then ? I'd hate for it to be stale.
To be continued... and we are just busting to open that package...

Woo Hoo. A New phone. Thanks Nokia.

I had a phone call from Nokia the other day.
Lorissa told me I had won a new Nokia N8. Woo Hoo.

I had entered a entered a competition on Facebook asking 25 words or less why I would like a new Nokia N8.
Well of course I said that with this nice new phone, I could take better pics of Daisy and Monty to post to the dog blog, because they are just so CUTE.

We won ! Yay.
Lorissa said she had just been checking out the Dog Blog and that Monty and Daisy were indeed very cute, so they had won the phone.
Thanks Nokia. Thanks Lorissa.

For years, the Dog Blog has been coming to you care of the old trusty Nokia 5500 ...

Then we moved up the lovely Nokia E63, a very nice unit indeed ...

But then we won this superb Nokia N8 with a stunning 12 Megapixel camera...

So, stand by for some new pics and videos. No messin'.
(Gotta work out how to use it first... give me a day or two.)

"Dad, stop waffling and open it !"

Dogs are for Life. Not just for Christmas

Now, we do love to make make fun of Monty and Daisy, and stick silly ears on them for Christmas ...

...but we do love them to bits and cherish them forever.

Georgia Little Pea reminds us, on this wonderful blog littledogsonlongleashes, that dogs are a member of the family, forever and always.

If you or the kiddies want a dog for Christmas, DON'T buy one from a breeder, rescue some poor mutt from the Lost Dogs Home.

Scroll down for the links to Lort Smith or Pet Rescue and save some poor hound for Christmas if you live in Melbourne, Australia.

Google search in your area and find your local pound or lost dogs home.
Just think of all the happiness you could bring.

...and finding Monty

There you are, dragging along behind as usual.

"I had to stop for a pee, and to chase a cat, and to check out a post...."

"What's the hurry anyway, Dad ?!
I'm an old man. I'm allowed to go slow."

Yes, and you do go slow.

Hot day, cool puddles

It's hot now in Melbourne, but we've had a huge amount of rain.
It's been raining everyday like a monsoon.

Daisy never misses a chance for a paddle.

"Yes, it's nice in, Dad."

Monty likes to cool his toes too.

"Mmm, lovely and cool."

End of the line, kiddies.

Righto, let's keep walking. There will be more puddles.

To buy pizza

"Where are we off to now, Dad ?"
We're going to buy a pizza for supper.

"Pizza ?! I want bacon on mine."
"Pizza ?! I want cheesy bits on mine."

Well, you might get a small taste, if you're good.
"Don't even joke about, Dad."
